Sydney singer, Paula Terry is one of Australia’s most loved Jazz, Pop and RnB performers. Paula sings live regularly at gigs in Sydney, Australia, with the Paula Terry Trio and funk band, Crackerjam.
Paula has sung all over the World with some great musicians including Bassist, Paul Jackson and Naoki, producer from the Dance Dance Revolution series. She recently wowed her audiences in Japan where she has regularly toured and has a big following and has recorded extensively.
Paula Terry was born in Sydney, Australia and studied drama and singing. Her mother was an opera singer mother and her brother is a classical guitarist. Singing and music are in the Terry blood. Paula has created a reputation for herself as a widely respected vocalist renowned for her seamlessly versatile vocal style range, including jazz standards, bossa nova, pop, dance and R&B.
A lifetime spent entertaining audiences on several continents means Paula can sing in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. Paula is a fluent Japanese and French speaker. When Paula first lived in Japan in 1998 she was signed by the Japanese label ‘Alpha music’ to record her debut album, ‘Just Break Away’ released by Toshiba EMI. Paula went on to record many more albums.
